Help me suggest a travel system

I am throwing a shower for a friend. We want to do a group gift of a travel system. She drives on older style honda Oddysey (2007?). She has a 6 yr old unharnessed and a 4yr old in a lbb (I know, I hate it too) . They currently have the passenger captain's chair out and the two kids ride in the 3rd row. I figure baby will probably go behind the driver.

She is pretty open to whatever seat/system I recommend. Baby is a boy, not sure if it is the last.

I am thinking KF or graco...safeseat or snugride 30??

What do you guys suggest that is in a good travel system?

Honestly, I would not do a travel system per se. I would build a travel system with a combination of either a Baby Jogger City Mini or First Years Indigo (has a parent facing seat option and comes with a universal carseat adapter) and either a KF30 or a Graco Snugride.

The indigo will cost the same as a Chicco Cortina (or even less) or a few bucks more than a Graco Metrolite...
The BJCM will be about $125 more once you add the adapter (would be about $300 with the adapter), but will last for all of the child's infant and toddlerhood.

If you are set on an actual travel system, the Chicco Cortina or Graco metrolite are probably the best choices...

I agree, I would not buy a travel system.

As pp said, get a good front adjust infant seat. Then add the stroller. I would consider a stroller frame. And you could also do a stroller for when the carrier is outgrown...depending on budget, etc.

LOL! I just posted without reading and said basically what pooh bear said. But with her seat track record, I would spend on a seat that lasts longer like the SR35. Stroller frames are awesome too.

The Indigo is on dealomite now.
