Thats the question!
My DD1 is going to be 6 at the very very end of June. She is 43" 39lb (or at least that was her last weight without a cast and she was 41lb with a long arm cast and 40lb with the short cast) Ive always said 6 & 40lb was the very minimum I would allow for booster rides. Now that she is almost there Im having a bit of an anxiety attach lol. I know at her age and size there is no proof she is safer in the harness. And it is possible she would be mature enough to ride in the booster. I have never even tried it before, so I have no reason to think she would or wouldnt do well in one. But I dunno I guess I just feel its safer in a harness. Im afraid to even try it out because if she likes it better than being harnessed she will fight to not go back.
Im going to be getting some money soon and I planned on getting her either a booster or another back up GN (thats what is in my car and she is on the 3rd slot, plenty of growing room). I just dont know which one. :shrug-shoulders:
Pros to a booster
*easily moves from one car to the other. She rides with my MIL often and it is a pain to install and uninstall her GN.
*easier for car pool or rides with friends
*if I kept it in my MIL car she could use it with my nephew (5yr 44" 55lb) when she has him
*probably cheaper
*DH could have her in his car
Pros to harness
*peace of mind
*I could keep it in my MIL car and my nephew could still use it, if his parents would allow him to be harnessed
*did I mention peace of mind lol
I dunno... why must this be so hard???
