Need Carseat recommendation for larger child

Hi! I am taking my girls abroad later this year. At the time of travel, my oldest will be six and the youngest will turn 3 on our trip. We currently have a Roundabout that we've used on a plane before and a Britax Frontier that we've never flown with. I would like to purchase something lighter and that perhaps folds for our trip in October. What are your recommendations. My nearly 6 year old still rides secured in a 5-point harness. So the seat must be large enough to accommodate her.

Also, my 2.5 year old remains refacing. Should I keep her refacing for the flight? I am reluctant about turning her forward.

How big is your 6yo? If she is lightweight enough, the Maestro would be a good option. If she is bigger, the Radian would be my second choice. It does fold up. With either of these seats, I would install them and use them on the plane.

I would also consider the option of making a switch to the booster seat for this trip. If you want to consider this option, I would make sure to do some test drives at home with her in a booster seat to make sure she knows how to sit properly.

How big is your 2.5 yo? I flew with my twins rf at 18 months, 2.5 and DD even flew rf at 3.5yo. Are you flying an American airline? I've only flown in the US with our twins, but my understanding is that it's usually easier to use the car seat and use them rf on US airlines.

Are you planning on taking the Roundabout or another seat for the 2.5 yo?
