I got a small victory today!!!

Some of you might remember me complaining about SIL and SSIL and thier car seats arrangements. SIL has her almost 11m old FF and SSIL had her 10m old still RF but sitting so upright and straps so loose that baby could almost slide out.

Well, everyone came over today for a cookout and i checked out the car seats again. SIL still has her baby FF and refuses to turn her back RF. So i done what i thought was best, i checked her seat and she now has it installed tight, still no tether, and has the harness like it needs to be(i did have to tighten it). I hate that she won't RF her, even though i showed her it is illegal and gave her some ERF info, i will at least make sure her seat is fastened in correctly and the baby is buckled correctly (well as close as i can get). She just refuses to accept i might know more than the "tech" at the sherriff's office.

Now, for my victory, SSIL asked me to fix her seat today. So i went and check it and OMG it was so loose. Come to find out her seatbelt do not lock, so all this time she has just had the seatbelt threaded through it. So, i got a pool noodle and a locking clip and i fixed it. She was so grateful. I showed her how the straps needed to be and where the chest clip needed to go.

It is a small victory, but a victory.
