Thanks, I hated the idea of getting a RN if I dont need one. I just will be cramped in our windstar until spring , when I to will be driving an express.
Do you like your vans? Are they 12 or 15 passenger? What seats work the best? LOL, sorry for all the ?'s, but I dont know anyone IRL with an express. I'm looking forward to driving something with some elbow room for everyone!
I
my Safari van. It's an 8-passenger. I use it around town & DH drives his own car. How many kids do you have?
The Express is a 15-p, but we take the back bench out for cargo room. It drives pretty nicely, but then I'm used to driving big vehicles. We only insure it for long trips to visit family. You can't get those big vans with headrests, unless you can spring for a Sprinter, so I'm kinda stuck there. For the last couple trips, I secured the dog crate to the back of the bench with cargo tie-downs so that it stuck up behind the big girls' heads, and put a foam camping mattress along there (hard to explain). I need a better solution
.
I have all the seats in my siggy. They've all been in the van at one time or another and all work. The SR22 base and the MR both need a locking clip to keep from tipping. What year(s) are you looking at?
Chex (on here) also has an Express. Hers is newer & a 12p.
ETA: Just read one of your other posts. Are you planning to have any more kids? If I only had 5, or even if I only had 6, I would choose the Safari over the Express any day. (And, well, obviously I do, since it's the Safari that's insured all year round.)
