Best vehicles for 5 kids in seats?

I have a friend with #5 on the way. They have a DGC that they got used 6ish years ago. They know fitting #5 is going to be a stretch. (Kids are 8,7,4 1/2, 2 and will be newborn. They are in NBTB, NBTB, HBTB, harnessed FFing seat and will be a Safeseat.) They are fine with the older two- that are the same size- being out of boosters as soon as they fit okay. No booster law here.

I suggested an 04-10 Sienna with 8 passenger seating.

Anything else great? They will be buying used and I'm guessing something at least 2-3 years old.

I have an 07 grand caravan and my five fit :) Right now I have DD3 and DD4 in the captains chairs in HBTBs, DD5 in the center of the third row in a MA70 FFing, DD2 in the third row, passenger side in a harmony literider, and DD1 is in the third row drivers side in just a seat belt (she recently passed the 5 step test).

Up until a few days ago I had DD#3 in a nautilus (booster mode) in the passenger side captains chair, DD5 RFing in the MA70 in the drivers side captains chair, DD4 FFing in a radian80sl, and DD1 and DD2 were both in literiders on each side of that.

Just in case she doesn't want a new van...new seats are cheaper than new vehicles. Of course, if she wants a new van, I'd personally love a new odyssey! :)

Well, since she's having boy #5 I should just introduce her to your girls.:D

They may not end up with something new, but she isn't as into car seats as "we" are so I'm a bit worried that the older two boys will end up outboard in the back without boosters. She was going to put the three oldest in back, but I remided her that she has a lap belt in the center, so she needed to put a harnessed seat there. What two boosters and a ffing harnessed seat would fit in the back?

I'm thinking maybe nbb, ff harnessed seat, nbb (or highback for the 4.5 yr old) and the infant and another booster in their middle bench- they have the two seater bench. I don't think she realizes that her convertible seat expires this year either- I only know it does because I remember when she bought it so I know it has to be since it was when she had #2.

A friend of mine has 3 across her back bench in a DGC. I think she has graco nbb, cosco harnessed seat, graco nbb. I think you could probably do the literider, maestro or chase, literider across there as well.

She has a ffing roundabout in one captains chair and a HB Turbo in the other. The RA was rearfacing until her dd turned 1.

Sounds like a plan! Maybe we could arrange a big group wedding...lol :) (j/k just in case anyone was wondering...).

I have a forward facing marathon 70 in the center and can fit 2 lightriders beside it. A radian also works. And I think a scenera might. I could try when we visit my parents next month (she's using mine for the little girl she babysits).
