In the turbo manual, on the page facing the washing instructions...

There is this :
CONTINUOUS USE OF BOOSTER SEAT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO VEHICLE SEAT. Use a booster seat mat, towel or thin blanket to protect upholstery.

Wow, that just doesn't seem right. A booster is slippery anyway, not being permanently attached. Those seem like they would make it more slippery.

I had to put shelf grip liner under Kaylee's TB & PW in dh car as they would side all over the place on the leather even with her in it.

i don't understand why boosters need to be tight... i thought the whole purpose is just to keep the child positioned properly so that the vehicle's seatbelt can properly restrain the child, and upon an impact, the seatbelt will tension appropriately. a normal adult can slipe and slide around on leather seats too... that doesn't make it unsafe, does it?

The biggest issues with boosters sliding around are 1. tilt - they can tilt in such a way that the child is not fully upright and leans out of the belt and 2. the sliding around actually causes more damage than a tightly installed harnessed seat. The frriction is not good for leather or cloth, although the sliding doesn't happen as much with cloth seats.
