Anyone? Also, price range for both?
We now have a Radian80 in my car for ds and I'm thinking of getting the Recaro for the dh's car once he's outgrown the Graco Safeseat.
I browsed through the Recaro website and can't tell any diff between the 2 and they don't have a listed price for both.
TIA. :)

  • They're both based on the same shell....
    • Rear-facing weight limit = 35#
    • Forward-facing weight limit = 70#
    • Both can tether rear-facing
      • (Britax & the Sunshine Kids Radian are the only other seats which allow this)
    • Approximately $50 price difference
  • Signo : the higher end version
    • Infinitely adjustable headwing/harness ~ no rethreading as child grows
      • (like Britax Boulevard)
    • LATCH straps will be attached to metal bars
      • (like Britax Marathon/Boulevard/Decathalon)
    • Forward-facing estimated height limit = 60"
  • Como
    • Fixed positions on adjustable headrest corresponding to 5 harness slot positions
      • (like Safeguard Childseat)
    • Forward-facing estimated height limit = 59"

i highly doubt you can get two signos side by side in any car, except for *possibly* a huge SUV with a really wide seat... possibly. we have two signos in our mazda but they are both outboard. there is about 12" of space between them.

You're right, the Recaro Como and Signo do not top tether rear facing. Notice that this thread started in May of last year, months before the Recaro convertibles were actually available to verify such details. ;)
