Smile Orbit baby infant seat on plane?

Hello. We will be taking our first plane trip with our 2 month old next month, and I am wondering if anyone has any experience taking their orbit baby infant seat on the plane? We will be flying Southwest this time, but other airlines later this summer, so I am interested in any feedback any one has about this (I have searched the forums on here and see that people haven't had any problems with the orbit convertible toddler seat). The seat seems rather deep to me (but I don't have a lot of experience with other seats), so I am concerned it might not fit. Thank you!

Re: Orbit baby infant seat on plane?

As far as I'm aware, none of the regulars have taken the Orbit Baby on a plane. Google image search didn't come up with anything either. I do know that you need to install it without the base on a plane because the buckle will be smack in the center of the base.
