How wide is the smart seat?

I did a search, but couldn't find an exact answer, just wondering how wide the smart seat is and how wide just the base is? Thanks!

I would guess between 19 and 20 in wide. its REALLY wide but I also know its very square so it doesnt intrude on other seats when its next to them

Has anyone measured just the base? The blog pics look like it measured about 17" wide across some part of it anyways.

Oh. I was going to guess somewhere between 19 and 20 miles :eek:

I can take a tape measure to it, but the base is 'a little boxier' than the SR35, not substantially wider, I got it in the middle of a large sedan easily, but with nothing next to it.
