My cousin's wife is asking me if this is possible. She hasn't tried it yet.
Vehicle is a 1988 toyota camry wagon. Only the centre seatbelt (lap belt only) locks.
Kids will be 4, 2, and newborn.
Seats available are Graco 35 infant seat, a true fit and a triumph advance.
Newborn and 2 year old RFing, 4 year old FFing. I think the 4yo is in the Triumph but I could be wrong. He was just over 40 lbs last time I talked to her.
I'm thinking she should put the newborn outboard (because the base has lockoffs), the 4yo in the true fit outboard (same reason) and the 2yo in the centre in the triumph. That's assuming the seats will fit in that configuration. She'll be bringing them by in a few days for us to try.
I know the least protected child should be in the centre, but her husband currently has something rigged up using plumbing supplies to lock the seatbelts  so... I think they should make use of the built in lockoffs. I showed her how to use the locking clip on the Triumph but she wasn't interested, too much work, and she was confident in her husband's installation.
