That carseat doesn't even look like it's installed in a car  Am I the only one that sees that. I"m not even going to comment on the straps and chest clip.

Honsetly, I don't say anything. I know I should, but people just don't care. They think i'm insulting their parenting (and if you ever meet me IRL, i'm really not confrontational or resemble any type of authoriatative role) I know that if i do end up calling the police about some GROSS misuse, all they're going to do is send a brochure about the importance of car seats.

I know it's not the "right" thing to do and I know I should confront people about certain situations, but i doubt it would help.

I'm debating the same thing....I was reading a blog and the woman is talking about how she is going through a tough time financially, and sometimes she faces depression...then she has a photo of her toddler eating in the car ...the child is in an older ( possibly expired?) seat with really twisted straps.....

I'm such a chicken when it comes to confronting people/strangers....especially someone who is already 'down on their luck.'

I don't know if I would say anything in this case, besides the fact that sitting sideways in a motorhome isn't the safest place for a kid. When I went RVing as a kid, my Aunt's motorhome had seatbelts at the table, although they were only lap belts, but at least I wasn't sitting sideways. They are definatley in an RV, she says so when you read the story in the link she posted below.

I bite my tongue all the time. I work in a preschool/kindergarten with kids ages 2 years 9 months to 6 years old. I see parents picking up and dropping off kids all the time. I see baby's in infant carriers that are way too big for them. I see kids in seats with extremely loose straps. Children too young for boosters in turbos - children who are the right size and age in turbos that are not buckled in right. I saw a child from the three year old class get in the car and not even sit in a carseat or booster at all. She is a tiny three year old. I think it is time for me to hand out some pamphlets.
