When did Britax change their chest clips?

When did Britax change the chest clip from the square ones to the more rounded ones? Are all the seats with the square clip expired?

I believe it was around 2002-2003. The companion, however had the one-piece clip.

My 2004 Marathon had the rounded clip. It expired last year. So, my guess is that they are all expired.

My companion has the paperclip type clip. I kinda like it.

it was before 2004... because the new clips were out by then.

Really? We had a Companion and I hated that thing! I was always afraid the back part was going to break off from moving it all the time! I also hated the stroller that went with it so I sold the whole thing as soon as DS hit 22 pounds, I did not want to use it again when we have another baby!

My "now expired" Marathon had the square chest clip. I miss that one, it was hard for toddlers to undo. My 3yo has been unable to undo the chest clip on his RA50 since the second time he rode in it(necessitating him to be forward facing in it so I could at least see him doing it and correct him), however, it is in husband's vehicle, so he's not in it very often.

Thanks! I figured they were probably all expired... a friend posted a picture of her DS on Facebook today in a Britax seat... I can't tell if it's a Marathon or a Roundabout but it has the square chest clip and I was thinking it almost certainly had to be expired. Off to send her a quick message...
