Monterey issues

DD is in a monterey booster in my van. It drives me crazy because the side wings will not stay in. I turn the knob in the back, but in one trip the wings are back out. It this common, or do I need to call on this. DD is 6.5 yrs old and 65 Lbs.

unfortunatly, it is common. mine only sometimes inches out so it doesn't bug me too much. you can call sunshione kids if you'd like. they have sent others a new back but unfortunately some of those have the same issue.

I've heard other posters with this issue. Is it a safety concern? It seems the seat wouldn't contain the child as well with the sides further out...Sunshine Kids doesn't seem to be doing much to fix this problem.

I dont know if it's a safety issue or not so thats why I was worried. I fear calling SK I have heard they are not as great as Britax in terms of CS. I hope my DD is ok I love the seat and the fit otherwise.

I have thought long and hard about getting this seat for my DS, but have heard of ongoing issues with this exact problem and knowing how SKJP have treated their customers over the Radian, I have not purchased this seat. I don't want a seat already prone to an issue to not be able to be remedied without hassle.

Mine does this too.

And I'm pretty sure SKJP doesn't care. :/

Our Monterey does this. I called SK and they sent me a new back claiming that it was a problem early on or with a certain batch. NOT the case. The new back does it just as much as the old one. It is VERY annoying. Luckily my dd is bigger now so not as much of an issue but it can be a big issue with smaller kids. It gives a smaller kids WAY too much room, imo. If they move too much one way then the shoulder belt is too close to the edge of the shoulder. I LOVE the Monterey but this problem is a serious design flaw that they don't seem to care about fixing.

Hmm...I'm detecting a theme here...that's what they told me about my SL strap the first time I called.
