Ok to lock seat belt for booster...

...in an F350? We are going on our first camping trip of the season tomorrow which will entail a very long drive. DS2 (just turned 8yo) is.the.worst! booster rider ever! I have to yell at him a million times to get back in position, stop leaning over, sit back, etc., etc. When he falls asleep he almost completely doubles over and I have to wake him to get him back in position. I've never locked a seat belt before while using a booster as DD was an awesome well behaved booster rider. I know some manufactures (of both boosters and vehicles) prohibit it but most don't. Any one know Fords stance on this? Oh, he'll be riding in a TB.

Thanks.

I've read a thread about this before but I can't remember the consensus. But I am assuming he has outgrown all the harness seats? If not he really needs to be harnessed if he will not sit properly.

As long as there are no prohibitions, I don't see a problem. I don't believe Ford or Graco have ever prohibited it, so you should be ok.

I'd use it as a last resort rather than a matter of course, but I'll assume that you know that already. :)

He would actually still fit in a GN and a FR. He's a tiny little peanut (only in size 6/7 clothes) with a short torso (about 16.5"). However I sold them both a while back because he was doing so well in a booster and I figured it was time. The last few months however he has been horrible. He's become "comfy" in the booster and apparently feels he no longer needs to behave in it. I'm thinking of locking the belt for tomorrows trip (which he'll hate) and telling him from now on if he doesn't sit properly he'll get the belt locked.
