HELP!! ASAP vomit cleanup of GN

Chris

DD puked all over her GN. It is in EVERY crack and crevice of the base. If we remove all of the webbing can we spray it off with the hose? How do we clean the puke/smell out of webbing? It is completely saturated and immediate replacement isn't an option as I need the seat in the morning.

Any help is really appreciated.

Not a tech, but I would totally remove the cover and as much of the padding as comes off and hose it down. Wash the cover, wipe the straps as best as possible and call graco and order new straps (more bc im not sure if the smell would really come out, kwim?). That is what I would do, at least.

We had a puke explosion in our GN too. I took it apart (just like it was when it came in the box)... the back, the base and all covers (however, I'm very comfortable with removing covers/webbing etc... make sure you have your manual and post pictures if you have questions as you put it back together).

I rinsed the plastic with a hose and used a tiny BBQ skewer to remove gunk. Be-careful when rinsing the base.. you don't want to lodge water in it. I sprayed down the harnesses and used baking soda on a wet sponge to "scrub" them. Then rinsed again and hung them in my bathroom under the vent. I have a "hand wash" cycle in my washing machine and put my covers in it. I used the cycle with cold water and detergent... I don't believe that is in the manual but I had no other choice. I then put the cover in the dryer on "air dry". Then hung it up to dry under the bathroom vent too.

Good luck.
