So my Subway experience today resulted in two "have you ever's"...

1. seen someone putting a young child in ff'ing and decided to park RIGHT next to them, open the door niiice and wide where they can see your child (who is obviously older) still rf'ing and then purposly stepped out of the way knowing they would look at your set up?!

and

2. pulled the "I've had that car seat for awhile now you just never noticed" line?! We picked up my mom from work for lunch today and she got in the back to see/play with the kids and said "you got ANOTHER new car seat?!" Ofcourse my 2.5yo said "yeah! I got a neewww carseat!" gee thanks son!!!

I've definitely hoped certain people would notice my rf 3yo.

And of course I've used the "I've had that car seat for quite a while honey" card before. Or "Oh I'm just trading with my sister for a while to see if this one works better." Then he forgets all about it once the seat is around a while!!

Yes to both!! There are no other RF kids in my daughter's playgroup. I hope every week that someone will see her RF in her radian and just stop to think about it!

And i used that "oh, I've had that seat for a while" on my mom just recently when I bought dd's new radian.

Every time I go to story time at the library I try to get EVERYONE to see my giant RF kid. Every time. He's one of maybe 3 RF over 18 month olds in the rotating cast of 30 or so kids. I wish I had some sort of a spot light. Or a door that opened really wide. Oooh, or maybe a loud theme song?

Number 1 ALL the time! I leave the door open while I put the pram in the boot to give people a longer chance to see how big the child is  And 14 months IS big and far from the norm in Aus!

I need to move some where that people say "pram" and "boot". Isn't the "norm" in Aus. to RF until like 9 months?

LOL I didn't even think about that, the language differences! The norm/law is 6 months country-wide :hitselfonhead:

#1- No because people already notice DS RFing because he's the size of a 5 year old. Nobody has ever asked about it but I see people looking all the time.

#2- Um kind of. I've said that to DH but we actually HAD had the seat for a while. He kind of lives in his own world a lot and doesn't notice things. He'll ask me when did we get XXX thing around the house that's been there for over a year.
