Scenera for a tall & chunky infant

My sister is looking for a 2nd convertible for DNi. DNi is 8 months old, probably about 23-24lb at this point and tall (she was 28" at her 6 month appt). She has a Truefit and they're looking for a 2nd convertible to replace their Onboard.

Any guesses on how long she might fit in the Scenera? I wish I could help out more, they're tight on money right now, I bought the Truefit for them when she was born.

Is there anyone else with bigger infants that used the Scenera? How long did it last RF? I'm not sure that she'll stay so chunky, but she'll definitely be a tall girl, my sister is about 5'-11" and BIL is over 6'.

I have a Scenera and my 2 1/2 year old fits rear facing in it, he's 27 lb and 36" (I think? I haven't measured his height in a while).

Most infants' growth slows down around 9-12 months so hopefully she'll level off for a bit, but I'd think she'll get at least 12-18 months out of it, especially if you get the 40 pound version (sold at Target). It definitely won't be the last seat she needs, but I think it is a great budget seat.

For reference, he's my DS in the Scenera, he's forward facing in this picture (to fit in the back seat of our club cab pickup) but it gives you a good idea of how much room there is heightwise for a toddler.
