Frontier in Booster

I will admit, I haven't read this part of the manual yet. :duck: But, with the GN I will, at times, make the parental decision to use it as a booster and have A sit on the harness if I have to pick up him and another kid. (A outgrew the harness). Can I do the same for the Frontier? A just fits at the top harness position uninstalled, so if he loses room once it is installed, I need something for him to ride in without totally changing out seats. I am leaving soon to pick up him and a friend from church and need to have a place to put them both! (Yes, I promise to read the booster section of the manual later...just help me now please!)

My guess would be no. You'll still have to uninstall the seat to switch from harness to booster because you have to flip the foot. You're also supposed to remove the screw in the head support for booster mode. Just my :twocents:

Just echoing - the recline bar would be the main reason I wouldn't choose to do it even on occasion. I thought the screw just basically allowed it to adjust higher for booster use.

Technically it's not allowed for either seat.

Wendy

I know it isn't technically allowed for the GN, but when I'm in a pinch and need to drive the kids the mile home, I make the parental decision to do it.

I forgot about the recline bar for the Frontier. But, the good news is, he still fits harnessed. And gained some room when it was installed! :D Now, I have a real threat if he goofs off in his booster. :evil grin:

It's no different than what you are doing with the GN as long as you flip the foot. Certainly not recommended and not in accordance with the manual to do so. I've done it once for a reason that I now cannot remember.
