Radian ?s

I am going to be swapping seats with someone and getting a Radian. However, they threw out the RF boot since they didn't ever use the seat RF. I am going to go try out a seat at a local store, but the one I am trading for is an '07, I believe. If a newer seat installs in my car, will the older one be the same? The '07 will have a 35 lb RF limit, right?

Also, can I use a Britax d-ring for the Radian? Anyone have experience with a Radian (RFing mainly, but FF tips welcome, too!) in a Chevy Cavalier?

An 07 Radian will be 33 or 35 pounds RF. I'm not sure which, but it's definitely not 40 or 45. They didn't change the shell of the seat significantly. If the newer one installs, the older one should as well. I assume that you will get a new boot from SKJP to use RF. The Britax D-ring is not approved for the Radian.

Are you in Mass? You can play with my Radian if you want. I won't breathe down your neck while you try to install in the parking lot like a saleperson would. And, uh, I have a driveway, not a parking lot.

Oh man, there is a chance it is 33 pounds? Definitely won't be trading if that is the case. I knew it wouldn't be 40 or 45, but didn't realize there was a chance it was less than 35.

Thanks for the offer, but I am still in VT for the next couple of weeks. Thankfully the store here lets you take the seats out without any employees.

Darn about the d-ring. I figured that would be the case. Any idea why?

Like most manufacturers, SKJP only approves products made by them for use with their seats.

Seats made 9/07?-8/08 are stickered 33 but manual says 35.
