Question Best convertible seat for use in multiple cars

My husband recently accepted a job in Sydney, Australia, so we'll be moving there with our 14 month old in July. She is currently using a Graco SnugRide35, rear facing. We would like to purchase a convertible seat for her before we move but we're not sure which one is the best for our situation. She is very small, so will continue to be rear facing until she is 2, most likely. We will not be buying a car in Sydney and will be using public transport for the most part. When we do need a car, we will be using taxi's and/or a car sharing program (GoGet CarShare, similar to Zipcar in the US). Since we will have to install the seat each time we use a car, we are looking for something easy to install and still somewhat portable. (I like the fold up feature on the Sunshine Kids Radian but have heard they are difficult to install and don't always install safely.) I don't want to be spending a lot of time and frustration installing the seat each time we use it. I also want to know that it will fit and be safe in any car we happen to be using. Any recommendations would be extremely helpful! Also, recommendations on some type of wheels that the seat can attach to for use in airports would be great! Thanks for your help!

If she's got a lot of room above her head you can just continue to use the Snugride you have. It can be installed baseless and attaches to a stroller.

Another option is the Combi Coccoro and Flash stroller. It'll get you a bit more time than the Snugride, then it goes forward facing.

Otherwise, if you want something taller I'd probably get a Cosco Scenera and bungee it somehow to a stroller.

All kids, not just the small ones, should stay rear facing to *at least* two, preferably longer for optimal safety. You're going to be stared at like you're crazy in Australia for rear facing her past nine months.
