We have a Subaru Legacy Wagon 2003 which works well when it is just our two children: DD (age 6, 43 lbs) in a Graco highback booster, and DS (age 3, 29 lbs) in a FF Britax Roundabout. However we would like to be able to take a friend of DD with us occasionally but can't figure out how to get a third seat in. It is safe to assume DD friends are like her - around age 6 and upwards of 40 lbs. We don't want to buy a new car, but are willing to buy new car seats (we'll need to buy at least one, could replace existing ones too if necessary) or even (is this possible?) replace the backseat of the car with something less contoured. Normally our two carseats are in the outboard positions, but I would be willing to move them any which way for days when we want to transport the extra child. Any suggestions? Thanks!
