Latch limit Odyssey and Frontier 85??

I can't find the info on the latch limits. My friends DD1 is just about 40lbs, should I be installing her seat with the seat belt instead of latch?

Also, the manual for the F85 specifies that a 40 pound limit should be assumed unless the vehicle specifies otherwise.
