Question Frontier install and fabric questions

I am looking for a second seat for my 4 1/2 year old. She currently has a Nautilus in my car. Considering getting a Frontier for my car and putting the Nauti in grandma's car.

She saw me looking at the Britax site and now she HAS TO HAVE the Livia seat.
The fabric looks slick and quilty. How does everyone like it compared to the other fabric? I remember not loving the light pink fabric when we were looking. The floor model felt rough and was pretty pilly....not sure if it is still the same.

Anyhow, love or hate the Livia???

Also, I have a new car. Got a 2010 VW Routan. I chose the Nauti over the Frontier because my old car, 2008 Civic, had a 40lb LATCH limit and I did not like the belt install in that car. It took me forever to get it in and I never felt like it was perfect. The Nautilus was super easy to get in really well
How does the Frontier install with the belt in a Routan? I have until 48 pounds in the new car (DD is 41lbs), but don't want to get a seat I will struggle with when the time comes. I looked for reviews but only found them for the Dodge and Chrysler (pretty much the same car) but the captain's chairs in mine are different than those. The captains chairs are not stow and go in my car.

Any advice about the Frontier in my car is much appreciated.
Thanks :)

We have a parkway in Livia, the fabric is very nice and soft, very different from the mesh type fabric on most of the Frontiers.

Good! Thank you.

Anyone have any opinions on the Frontier install using the belt in a Routan?
TIA

I used to have an '09 Grand Caravan. So, if your Routan's captain's chairs have the seat bottom slope, I can answer the install question for you. The FR85 installs rock solid in the captain's chairs with the seatbelt via long belt path. Due to the slope, however, there is about a 1-1.5" gap between the vehicle seat bottom and the back/bottom part of the FR85 base. This is perfectly fine (and safe), per Britax, as long as the install is acceptable otherwise (1" or less of movement in all directions at the belt path, 80% or more of base on vehicle seat) - which it is.

Thanks so much. That gap would have freaked me out if I had not read your post. The Routan does not have stow and go seats, so I don't know how the seats compare to the GC or T&C.

ETA:
This is a pic of the seats...I guess they do look pretty sloped

They don't look as sloped as the GC/T&C, but they look almost identical otherwise. I bet you'll have no problem at all installing the FR85 and I bet the gap, if any, will be smaller.
