What seats should I travel with???

We will be moving eventually but will be taking the van to ship it a lot sooner than we leave. I would like to leave the spare seats to be shipped with the van.

So I gotta figure out what to take with use. We will take the Complete Air for River as I DESPISE traveling with the Radian. So Complete Air attached to our stroller (or TravelMate) but probably stroller since I will need it.
Johnathon will most likely just go to the airport in a backless Graco then use that at MIL's and on the drive from MA to TX.

So now for Seth. I have the Frontier 85 and the Recaro ProSport I can bring for him.

I will be traveling alone with 3 kids probably 3 car seats and an 85 lbs dog in an XL dog crate so keep that in mind. They won't let dh walk me to the gate.

Seth will use the seat in a Grand Caravan and a Jeep Wrangler then whatever we get until our van makes it to TX so it needs to install well in a variety of vehicles.

So I guess the biggest issue is for Seth. What seat is the easiest to travel with? He won't use it on the plane since 1) they would never allow 2) they won't help by carrying seat or helping with the kids so I can install 2 seats.

I dread this. I dread it dread it dread it. They airlines here suck, their rules suck and it leaves me in a predicment but it is what it is.

Could someone buy and ship you a vest? That's a lot of kids and stuff and seats to deal with by yourself.

ETA: Or can you have seats waiting for you at your destination? Sorry, I'm not sure what your actual circumstances are.

I would love a vest but we can't afford it and my family wouldn't buy one. We have to save a lot now b/c we have to pay to ship a vehicle and pay the dogs airfare and pay for the hotel in TX etc.etc.etc.

I will be fine. I have traveled before with the 3 kids and 3 seats, this will just be tough b/c I have to stress about the dog as well. I am not sure about how it works with checking him in here.

Maybe someone here could lend one to you?

Otherwise I'm not sure there's a better/worse choice between the ProSport and FR.

Yeah I know, they are both beasts... I wish I had a Scenera for him. LOL. Man it would be perfect for this situation. Oh well.

Has anyone experienced install issues with the ProSport in any vehicles?

I think some people have found that in some vehicles the seatbelt interferes with one of the harness slots.
