Question Need a new seat, should I: get one to RF longer or FF longer?

My 3.5 yo is still RF in her True Fit, but just about to the weight limit. My 18 mo son is about ready to move into her True Fit, so we need a new seat for her. Should I:

- keep her RF in a Complete Air a little longer, then go FF when she hits 40 lbs.
or
- buy something to FF longer in a 5 pt. harness, like a Britax Frontier?

Thoughts or other ideas? Thanks so much!

A 3.5yo who still fits in a TrueFit RFing is likely to make it to a safe booster age and size FFing in a Complete Air.

The technically correct answer is that RFing as long as possible has proven benefits, while harnessing kids who can use boosters correctly does not.

However, for a 3.5yo, I would not panic about RFing and would choose based on preference and convenience.

I'd rf longer cause it is proven to be safer while harnessing a kid who is of proper booster age, weight, and maturity is not necessarily safer.
