HELP for Hubby! Need "bullet proof" key chain!

My husband is constantly losing his keys. This is mostly because he hasn't met a keyring he couldn't break. He need a nice, sturdy ring. He has two sets of keys (one for work and one for personal keys), which it would be nice to be able to keep separate but together. My dad has a 20+ year old ring which is two in one. Both of the rings are extremely strong, and the mechanism that joins them has lasted over 20 years. Of course, I haven't seen anything like that since I started buying key rings for my husband 5 years ago, and frankly, unless you're looking for a souvenir, key rings seem to be few and far between anyway.

Where should I be looking for a strong, versatile key ring?

Try the hardware stores in the section where they cut keys. They would probably have some tough key rings for men who work in construction. I can't find anything online, but it's worth a look in the store.

Ooo! THat's like a really nice version of my dad's chain! Sterling silver seems like overkill, though. ;)

www.bucklebags.com under 'accessories'... let's have a group order! The cutest little seatbelt key rings, real seatbelt parts, with rings on both sides... 7 bucks for a multiple order, I think :D

I second Julie's idea. :) They had them at Lifesavers and I'd have bought one then and there if I could have.

Those buckle bag keychains are cool! They look a little heavy for my liking though. Are they? You saw them didn't you Skaterbabs?

They are a little heavy - they're real buckles. I would love one though....
It would go great with my Mother's Day/Birthday gift from dh:

I wantedthe Laptop bag, but was outbid at the last minute, so this is my "consolation prize" since we can't afford the other new. ;)

My jaw literally dropped when i saw those bags, cause I LOVE THEM!!! I am so jealous of you!! I was watching TV the other day and I found out that they were at the 2006 Sema Show in Vegas. Well, so was I, and I missed them!! boo hoo!:crying: Those are the cutest bags ever!!! Way better than my fake Louis Vutton! (It's a REALLY bad fake lol!)

That is a lot cheaper, and looks a lot more sturdy than the sterling silver one, although it's not quite as pretty. And with the other one you could have some fun with it too. It's engravable, so you could always put something like "Mama's Boy" or something like that just to tease your dh! I would totally do that. In fact, father's day is coming up.....:p

I like that one.

The buckle bags are cool too.

This is the one I found when I searched "valet key ring".

Have you seen these U.S.E.D. seatbelt bags? This is just an article with only one picture, I couldn't find a site for them where you can buy them. They are a little different then the weaved bags (which are very nice by the way ) and some are big enough to use as diaper bags

I like that one.

That one is nice, I like that! It serves it's purpose yet is unique at the same time!

That one's too bulky for him.

It looks like the a "valet" ring is the way to go. Now that I know what they're called, it shouldn't be too hard to get one. I may see if any of the hardware or lock stores nearby have them instock before I order online.

I can't wait for it to arrive!! It's supposed to be a pretty coral pink, but it's hard to tell from those tiny pictures. :p I'll use it to carry my handouts for seatchecks and classes, because I think it will be too small for my laptop.
