Use a floor model or turning an 18mo old ff?

So I have a friend whose 18mo old has reached the limits of her seat rf. I imagine she will just turn her around at this point. However, at a local box-type store I found a clearance floor model MR that she could snag for $100.

In this situation would the 'best option' be to turn her child ff'ing....or to buy and use a floor model seat? (These are most likely the only 2 options, as I doubt she would go out and buy 2 new seats for both cars at this point as erf isn't part of her goals. And she could likely resell this MR in 6 mos or whenever she turns her child and turn a profit as they retail for $230 here, which is why I think I could maybe talk her into this option). I know neither option is ideal....but which is the better one IYO?

On a side note.....I'm already super proud that she has made it to 18mos old, as the vast majority of my friends have all turned their kids shortly after, if not at a year!

Floor model, provided it doesn't look used. On a separate note, if you've got a Walmart close, check there for a MR. Our rinky dink WM here has a MR for $120ish in the box (way up on the top shelf where no one is ever going to find it:rolleyes:).

Yep, prices are higher up here, but Walmart has the 40lb RFing Sceneras for $70 this week.

Thanks Amy for the tip about Walmart....I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. Are they no longer going to carry the MR at Walmart either? It must not be a good seller for the cheapo big box stores.

I forgot about the $70 Sceneras at Walmart this week too. I'm personally not a Dorel fan...but will try not to let my personal hate-on shine through when giving my friend suggestions! :p
