We were in the hospital this weekend with ds2. He is fine now and home. I noticed while I was there that there was a handout up on the bulletin board in each room that had NHTSA best practice guidelines for each age group. It mentioned rear facing to the limits of the seat and a booster until 4'9". There were also pamphlets at the nurses station on how to properly use and install your car seat. Also, when we left one of the nurses had to go out to our car and make sure that DS was in an appropriate car seat. He was, of course...rear facing infant seat. I thought that was good though, because I'm sure some people are taking their 2 year olds out to backless boosters and maybe the nurse would have said something. It seems like a good way to check in on people.
Anyway, just thought I would share!
