Parenting mag, carseat article is GOOD (or Parents?)

I'm a dunderhead, I just read an AWESOME article on carseats and can't remember in what..I think Parenting...it's the June issue with a cute Asian-featured baby on the front in a peachy orange dress... might be Parents?

They featured Britaxes in the pictures , noted that some convertibles can be tethered rearfacing, and said the back seat is safest for kids up to age 15! They listed carseat.org as a source, so I'm not surprised, lol. Anyway, it was good...my only thing is that they said convertibles need to use the top slots when FF...I'm just not sure which seats that is? Maybe the Tribute? Aren't the rest of them reinforced nowadays, at least the second slot down up to 30 pounds? Oh well, still not terrible advice :)

I picked up a free copy of New Parent(s) from BRU last weekend. They had an awesome carseat article too.

I literally *just* finished reading that article since mine came in the mail today and the boys were napping. I thought the article was great except a couple things. Like that you should move the slots up to the highest setting and where it said when using the seatbelt ff'ing to make sure you move the belt to the ff'ing belt path. Yet when explaining the LATCH install they didn't mention needing to move the LATCH strap which in many carseats you have to do just like the seatbelt. Minor, minor complaints and compared to 99% of carseat safety articles this one rocked!

I was interviewed by a lady a few months ago that was doing a Carseat Article. I never found out if it was published or not?

She wanted to do an article for helping parents pick out a carseat. She didn't know much about carseats, so that is why she asked me to assist her. I think StrollerFreak also helped her. :)

Hmmm.....Anyone have a link?

I really liked the article except for the "when to move to a booster" section. It made no mention of age or maturity, which are huge factors in a booster actually being safe. On the flip side, they sa9id to RF to the limits of the seat, which is a great improvement over what we've seen so far.

I kinda think it emphasized the whole, you can use your seat for longer than 1 year 20 lbs. It kept talking that there were seats that went up to a higher weight limit.
