Where can if find info like comparision on cars gas milage, seat belt type, crash ratings... pics of inside/outside.

Me and dh have to really look into getting rid of the land rover, i just can't pay up to $80 in gas tank, really i can't. It takes premium only and only gets about 12 MPG in town and only about 16 highway. I really love the car but it's such a gas hog, i need something less... i think i need to really look into a mini van :( don't want to but i want atleast one more kids, and don't want to wait till austin's old enought to ride in the front! LOL

For general car informatio, go to Edmunds (www.edmunds.com). It is a gold mine of information. It contains specs, reviews, photos, etc. It also lets you compare vehicles side by side and price them with options.

For crash test information, your best bet is www.informedforlife.org. That site is run by a retired engineer who has a complicated algorithm for crash test results, which includes the likelihood and fatality rates of various crash types. It also includes vehicle weight and so allows you to compare cars across classes. It's not perfect, but it will tell you a lot about the comparative safety of various cars.

And then finally, for kid-friendliness, check out www.motherproof.com. They don't review all that many vehicles, but their reviews are aimed at "what's this vehicle *really* like for installing carseats and driving around with kids." So it can be useful.

http://www.edmunds.com/ lets you do side-by-side comparisons of up to 5 different vehicles. They compare everything from dimensions to safety features, including gas mileage. Click "New Cars" and then "Comparisons."
