Installing carseat in 3rd row of expedition??

Hi there! With baby #3 coming soon, we want to move our 4 yr old to the 3rd row of our expedition, with the anticipation of putting in the Frontier 85 for her. However, upon inspection, my husband could not see how a car seat would attach back there. He said that there were no car seat connector thingys back there to attach to the carseat. Is that typical? If so, I'm really frustrated with Ford! ha! Just wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem. Thanks so much!

It's not a problem. Just use the seatbelt. Instructions are in your manual.

What year do you have? I'm guessing a 2003 or newer. Install with the seatbelt like Wendy said but make sure to tether it. Your only tether in the 3rd row is in the middle. It is a webbing loop on back of seat.

Also Ford LATCH has a weight limit of 48# so after that you must install with the seatbelt. The frontier has a 40# weight limit for LATCH unless the Carseat manufacture says differently.

Thank you so much for the replies! Our expedition is an '08, btw. I guess I wasn't sure if the seatbelt alone would work with the Frontier or not. Online I only saw them using the tethers. I don't think we noticed the one on the back of the middle seat in our car either. Thanks for the info!

I'm gonna have my husband get in there and hopefully try to get it figured out when he gets home today!
