Da Rules for the SWAP board :)

Ok, I talked to Admin (pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!) and if you want to post on the SWAP section of the gear board, you need a minimum of 4 months here, 50 posts, and 20 reputation points. (or mod approval, and that's my next quest to figure out, how to approve people... )

So, post nicely, post a little, and stick around awhile, and you will be in with the in crowd and can sell your carseats/covers/stuff of all sorts, and post requests for things, too...you just never know when someone will have that cowmoo roundabout cover you've been craving, so it can't hurt to ask :)

you get rep points for amount of posts and the length you are here, as well as when others give you some... and I think you start off with 10 points as soon as you become a registered member???

Stephanie, you do have reputation points. You simply have the thingy that shows them turned off. Go to "User CP" and then "Edit Options" to view your points.

Yeah, someone has to give them to you, they don't naturally accrue. Some of us were given like, trillions, just for being mods :D

lol yeah you all giving me points would make sense, except I was watching my rep to see if it went up when I hit a new milestone... so I dont think it was that unless there were rep points that didnt make it to my screen but made it to my count? I dunno, it was months ago and Im probably wrong but my points did suddenly go up by a lot around my 3 year mark.

I forgot about this thread, but just remembered it (In other words, I remembered that I forgot:D )

Anyhow, this site seems to be kept under a pretty tight watch, so I think the main concern is really people either not delivering a product or misleading the buyer of what they are buying. So, isn't there a service that "holds" the money until both parties are satisfied? I don't buy much from private sellers online, but it seems like there is something like this out there. This would provide some protection to both parties and keep everyone honest. Obviously, you don't want people coming on here just to rip people off. I do have a few things that I am wanting to post here before I put them on Ebay or somewhere else. Let us know the final verdict.

i'm confused then. I've been here 18 mo, have over 1200 posts, and 35 rep points, and when I posted in swap this AM, it said it had to be approved by admin first.
