Car Seat Frustration!

So I am not loving the Multi Tech. It's very upright and I constantly worry about DS undoing the buckle. He has done it twice. Thankfully while we were in the drive way. The button is super easy to push and he is fixated on it. Soooo... I have decided to shelf the MT for awhile. I haven't told DH yet. He'll be super pleased with me after just buying it a few weeks ago.

I just bought a True Fit and my plan was to put Peyton in that and move Colton to the MA70. Well I pretty much can't reach the adjustor on the TF at all because it is too far down. I will attempt to get a more reclined install later to see if that helps.

The MA70 is only a temporary fix for Colton since he is maybe 2 inches from the top. Probably a little less. Then it will be back to the MT or a Radian. I am not looking forward to using the MT.

Anyway I dont even know what the point if this thread was. To rant I guess. If anyone has input or arrangement suggestions I'd love to hear them. I am considering returning the TF. But I don't know what to get. My current seats are:

3XTSLs (2 on Gmas car/1 in DH's)
EFT65 in DH's
MA70
MT
TF
CA50 (loaned out currently)

Sorry you don't feel the MT love  I'm trying to figure out how to scrape together enough to buy a second one :D ;)

Anyway, did you buy it for the height and/or weight? What I mean is, does your LO need the extra lbs. - like he is close to 45 lbs. so the XTSL won't work much longer? Or, is he close to outgrowing the RN by height?

I'm not really being clear, but how about another RN that goes to 45 lbs.? Would that work for your situation?

Colton is 33/34 clothed. He gains pretty slow too. He is 37" tall and has a 13.25" torso. He has at least 4 inches to grow before being an inch from the top. I don't think I even need the MT. He will easily RF to almost 5 in the XTSL. I just wanted a MT because they seemed so cool and I was bored with my Radians. Sigh...

Now I am *thinking* about selling the MT. Advice. Are others in agreement that he will fit in a Radian until 4.5 or so?

Yeah, it seems like you could make it with the XTSL. But, I'm not good at estimating growth curves etc. I'll PM you

Oh shoot, I just realized you're in TEXAS! Grrrrr.

He totally will rearface for a while in the xtsl, dd has a 15" torso and still has room heightwise to grow, she is just over the second slot from the top, so one to go. So if you go with 1 torso inch a year, I would think he has 2 years at the least left by height and it would depend on his weight gain, but I can't see him gaining 10 plus pounds in a year or less.

I know how you feel :( I wanted to love the MT, I was so excited but it just didn't blow my hair back. I love my Radians but rf with my ds it was so reclined. It seemed like when he hit 35lbs. it just wouldn't stay at anything above 45 degrees, it sucked  I think in your situation the Radian will work well for quite a while

I think you're right.

I wish SKJP would come out with an electric blue Radian cover or something fun like Michael Miller Groovy Guitars print :)
The only Radian I haven't owned besides the Girly colors is Shadow. I had a brand new one and sold it to fund the MT. Maybe I'll Get that one.

Honestly, I would sell the MT and use the Radian. And wow, my husband would probably be furious with me!
