... your organization deserved a $1000 grant to buy HWH car seats for your community, what would you say?
I have to talk to some teenagers on Saturday in hopes that they will give us a grant. The plan is to somehow get the money to our Safe Kids Chapter so we can get the seats cheaper, and then have them sent to our Instructor at the State Police post to give out to those in need at the annual car seat check. Our community generally has enough infant seats, convertibles, combination seats and dedicated boosters for the checks. But far too often they send 3 year olds away in boosters because they are over 40lbs. I would love to be able to provide our community with a dozen or so HWH seats so we can prevent some of that.
So how do I talk to a bunch of teenagers about how important this is to a bunch of teenagers who probably have no idea about car seats? What would you say?
