Why I'm not ticked at not getting a Radian 80 SL...

**Oops title - why I AM ticked at not getting a Radian... When dd2 hit the 40 lb max in her MR at 32 months, I assumed she was going to stay on the same growth curve as dd1 since she had all the way up to that point, so I decided not to get a Radian that would have only lasted another 7-8 months rfing. Now, at 36 months, dd is only 41.2 lbs. Grrrr! A Radian probably could have gotten her another year rfing.

Crap, now I'm rethinking the CA. I order the LX version to try in our cars since the original doesn't work because ds just turned 2 and is around 33 pounds with clothes on. But now I'm wondering if I should get the 80 or XT to have those extra 5 pounds.

How much did your daughter weigh at 2? I'm hoping his weight gain will slow, but he really likes to eat.

DH would be pissed if I convinced him to get two new seats only for him to grow out of them rfing before 3, which is my goal.

Oops I missed your reply. I'm trying to remember how big dd2 was at 2 (haven't kept up w/ the baby book, lol). I think she was around 34 or 35 lbs. I know she had outgrown the rfing weight of my old 33 lb rfing MA, but I think she may still just barely fit rfing in our spare Scenera. She just had her 3 yo check on the 16th and weighed in at 41.4 lbs. Grrrr! I am still tempted to just order the darn thing, but it would only get 3.5 lbs of rfing use anyway. Sigh.

My J was 38lbs at just over 2y, hit 39.8 at just shy of 3y, and hit 44.8 at 3y11m. I was very glad I got the RN when he outgrew his MR... that year of peace-of-mind for me was well worth it. (Plus, I needed it to fit the kids in my car, lol.)

I had looked at the Myride and CA for DS but ended up buying and xtsl because he's a big kid. He went over 40 lbs at a couple weeks past his 3rd bday and now at 42 months he's 43 lbs but due for a growth spurt soon so we will be done RFing as soon as that happens I'm sure. :crying: Unless I can use all my wiles to convince DH to let me buy a multitech...yeah not gonna happen.
