recall list at check events

At class we were given the updated to November 2010 recall list. Is a more up to date recall list usually available at checks? I know there was a major recall just last month that effects some of the most popular seats. BTW, I was reading the list and those dorel seats had a recall already on the slipping harness adjusters. (Models in 2003-2005.) It's pretty bad that they didn't fix the seats after that- or only the 2006 models? That's weird.

Depends who does the event. Safe Kids probably will have them. The org. I do them with does not. I bring my own-- there's a free printable one, or you can get a subscription to print the one from SBS, or you can use it online for free if you have a laptop or smartphone with you. :)

I like THIS one...

It is like 50+ pages to print though I think... I have it on my phone, but I know that isn't an option for everyone.

Our instructors told us to print it once completely. Then check it frequently. It says right on it when the last time a recall was added. Print off any recalls after that date and attach in the packet you already have.

It seemed to be a good idea. That is what I would do if I couldn't access it on my phone. I probably still should if for some reason the database is unavailable when I do a check.

I  the SBS one. Thorough but concise. It also lists models with no recalls so you're not left wondering if you missed something.

I just printed out the latest stuff to add to what I have. I didn't want to go through a ton of paper, when I already had most of the recall info. I don't have a handheld computer do-dad.
