Evenflo Sport Booster

Link I checked it out today at walmart. To my unfamiliar-with-evenflo-boosters eye, it appears that it is an Amp with the evenflo big kid back. Is this a decent booster for $30? (Not that I want one- just that some people need boosters on a budget when they aren't on sale at Target, which we don't have in our town anyway. Our walmart no longer sells turbos.)

Hadn't heard of it. Looks like it might be nice for 3-across though. And I know bigger kids like the Amp.

The backrest of the BigKid is flimsy, but not terribly so.

it has eps foam, which the regular big kid doesn't have... are you sure on the price??

and yes, the amp fits kids really well (it's on the narrower side, though)

My walmart has the new evenflo sport booster in the front of the store with cereal, but that's not where either normally goes. It's the place where they will put fireworks in July and Halloween costumes in October. The evenflo Sport booster is only $30.

haha! I found this in the safe ride news "winter child restraint update"

Big Kid Sport—$29
BPB: Highback 30–100 lbs.; Backless 40–100 lbs.
Available in early 2011
The Big Kid Sport is an Amp with an adjustable and removable back. It will at first be exclusively sold by Walmart.

I love the price! only about 6 dollars more than the backless one... but it has better features (EPS FOAM) than the regular big kid... it makes me wonder if the regular big kid and big kid dlx are on the way out.

Yeah, I saw that too, I was hoping it would have foam. Maybe it does, maybe it was taken off the display one I saw. I hope it really does!

Did you check more than one spot on the seat? For a budget seat it might well only have foam around the head.

I figured you checked the head... cause I know that's the only spot a lot of boosters have it... weird, since I've read people saying they didn't see foam on the BK DLX, when I double-checked one at Kmart and didn't have to pull the cover far to see the foam.

I checked it (and the other boosters) today. There is no foam on any of the three evenflo hbbs that are sold at walmart. The Big Kid deluxe has extra thick padding, but still no eps foam. The sport's top belt position is 21.5 inches. (Or that's what I got measuring the seat on it's back because it was stuck.)
