I had a friend ask if theres any video showing the importance of not wearing a coat in the carseat and if there are crash test videos with a coat on?

What about a video or pics of why its bad to have twisted straps? And if your headrest on the car doesnt move do you put the top tether over top the headrest or around it?

never around it (unless it's the v-tether... where it could do so no matter what you try to do)
check the car manual for proper tether-routing... our chevy cobalt has fixed headrests, but there is space under them (they are similar to adjustable ones in looks... they just can't be raised any higher or lowered... and can't be removed... ) and the car manual said to route top tethers under them... the buggers.

Not a video, but there's also an awesome, eye opening thread posted by An Aurora at http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=151522 showing the amount of harness slack introduced by bulky winter coats/winter wear on kiddos vs. when they're buckled up without the coats.
