They are posting they are getting a BEST BET on The IIHS site.
Is that possible with how little time it has been on the market?

Yeah. They just have to submit the seat to the IIHS for "testing". The KidsEmbrace seat has been around for over a year, just not widely available for purchase as it is now. I'm not surprised about the rating either. The photos of the seat in booster mode show great belt fit.

I believe they posted on another thread (or maybe on Facebook) that they gave IIHS a seat and they gave it a preliminary Best Bet rating. Obviously the new ratings haven't been published yet.

I'm so tempted to buy it and then send it back...however, the second DS see's it, he's going to want to keep it. And there's no way I want that thing in my back seat....taunting me every time I turn to back up.

They should send one to Darren to review......I am curious about it. My DS would LOVE the Spongebob, but I don't think I could stand it in my car either.....I pick car seats with covers that blend with my interior.

Although I think the seats hand cupholders are creepy the company is on the right track as far as marketing towards boys.

I really, really, really want to see Darren or someone else get their hands on this seat and test the install, harness, measure, pics etc etc.

Ahhhh.. you're killing me.. Someone asked me about this the other day and I said wait til The girl ordering it checks it out.. Don't buy it sight unseen..

I guess I could go see what goodies are in the bag my dad brought home from Hershey.......

I would love to check one out personally, but I'm just too embarrassed. I don't want people to think it's for *me*. Kind of like how my mom had to send me tampons when I was away at college because I was still too embarrassed to do it myself.
