Stupid torso question

My dcg is just turning 8mos, and has between 1 & 2" until her SR35 is outgrown. She finally decided she would eat at daycare, so she's growing quite quickly now. :)

Stupid question here -- um, that's long-torsoed, right? I need to write up an email to her parents explaining ERF and recommending convertibles.

My other kids have had original SRs (20lb limit) so that's my frame of reference in regards to outgrowing. And the only posts I can remember regarding growing the SR35 are either giant babies like Joey or peanuts who fit to like 3yrs.

I think I can post a non-identifying pic, I took some last week, let me go see if I can find one.

I think the first pic is more true to what she really looks like, but the second pic has the tape measure in there. Tall for an 8mo, or average?

Very. That's about where Laine is at 17 months. Granted, Laine is small, but she's got a normal torso and shorter legs.

Thanks, Wendy. So they get to choose from the CA, Radian, or maybe EFT65. LOL. (And they have a Subaru, joy.)

TFP fits great in a Subaru. A couple I advised locally got one after they tried out Laine's. Turns out they got a sister seat. Same DOM and cover as Laine's.

She's already 20lbs at 8mos. You don't think she'd outgrow the TF too soon by weight? (I also hated the TF but I think that had to do with installation issues that were particular to my then-vehicle belts and seating position, lol.)

hmmm, well I guess Tuck has a long torso too, he's got just a little less room than her and he's just shy of seven months. I've been wondering if he's is long or average. A outgrew the ss1 at six months so his is very long and I guess Tuck's is long too.

anyways, I don't think she'd outgrow the tf too fast. weight gain slows a lot after a year most of the time. A was 28lbs at a year and outgrew the tf at around 22 months by weight.

LOL I'm not surprised about Tucker's torso -- Austin's giant-torsoed like Joey and Gavin. That's a good point about weight gain slowing after a year, she's not crawling let alone walking yet. I'll add it to my list. Thanks! :)

my son outgrew his SR35 when he was 8 months (very long torso) and he weighted about 19 Ibs.He weights about 35-36 Ibs now and he is 3 years old,so I think TF should be fine for her.She should be able to RF in TF for at least 2 more years.
