so i bought a CA65LX on amazon from a seller intending to use it for my 50somthing pound DD until she outgrew it and then have it for the baby... well the dude sent me the 50lb version and is refusing to admit he sent the 50lb version and telling me to read the tag on the front..it says 50lbs max FF weight!! he says he will take it back if i ship it minus 80 for what he spend on shipping??? no way he spent that on shipping UPS!

Take a pic of the box, with the shipping label if you can, and send it to him. Tell him you will accept a replacement at his cost, or a full refund. That is unacceptible.

If he refuses to exchange the seats (at zero cost to you!) after you send pics of the box and seat, then dispute it with your credit card company. They should/will refund you.

he sent it in a britax (advocate??) box..but i do have the tags on the seat still thank goodness! i emailed him before i bought to confirm it was the 65 version and he said yes, so i bought it...got it out of the box stuck the baby in it for pics and then saw the tag :mad: grrrrrr! thank goodness i didnt install it in my car yet!

Umm..if it wasn't in it's original box I wouldn't use it anyway. Report it to Amazon. I would not accept a seat from someone with shady dealings like that.

I agree...if they are selling on amazon they should use the original packaging and everything...it isn't ebay

i dont care about the box..the seat said New with tags...not New in box..so i cant care about that..but i know i can use this seat for DS in my moms car..its just 152 dollars is a lot to spend for a once a month car seat :( but it looks like im getting a nautilus in a trade so i can put DD1 in that, DSS in the Clek backless im getting in the same trade, DD2 in the CCO, and keep DS in the TF i have him in..
