I was just looking at car seats on sears.ca, and they have a picture of a baby in a european car seat, no chest clip, a britax of some kind.

And IMHO the order on the side should go:
Infant, Convertible, Combination, Booster. Putting it combination then convertible just makes no sense and can confuse parents.

:yeahthat:

I was thinking the same thing...the public service announcements are finally making parents aware that there's more to carseats than just pick a seat, but many are still confused by the number of choices they have out there...

I e-mailed customer service but forgot to mention they shouldn't be advocating the use of third party adders (snuggle bags, seat protectors, roller shades) as they are often unsafe or void your manufacturers warranty. Oh well...I think people are visual by nature and the baby in a euro seat and the mixed up combo/convert pictures are things that should be changed IMO.

And Walmart JUST got rid of a bad pic on their US website. http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=160567

ETA: I started picking apart that info page and quit... it's just obviously outdated all the way through.

I did find it amusing that they say the 3-in-1s will take your child well into the toddler years. Which is true of the new 50lb harness ones. But they were talking about the old ones being used as a booster, sigh... Oh, and right after recommending a mirror (the only one they seem to sell being this one: http://www.sears.ca/product/sunshine-kids-easy-view-back-seat-mirror/632-000883546-10110 ), they say to only have soft toys to avoid projectiles.
