Lowest head excursion seat for ff no tether

I have to put a ff seat in my 3rd row with no tethers. Anyone know which seats have the lowest head excursion numbers? How is the Frontier 85 (LBP)?

IDK personally, but every time a thread like this comes up for a FF seat in a place w/o a tether, I always see the Radian (no safestop) and Nautilus recommended.

Tough call, since the RN and GN were old enough to be in the Canadian crash testing results in the last couple years, while the newer-model Britaxes *claim* to meet the tougher head excursion numbers with no top tether. I'd probably feel very good about a long belt path install of my Frontier, really, given the way the seatbelt is in front of the seat (like the Roosevelt seat, and how the old Britax Super Elite HAD to have the long path, and the Futura 20/60 had the long path and didn't need a top tether...). Just a hunch, not like we'd ever get to see such detailed numbers.
I'd also put a smaller, lighter child back there, if possible.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking with the Frontier. The kid that will be riding in it is pretty little and could possibly even still rf, but I don't have any other rf seats or positions left. I believe the last time I talked to the mom he was around 30/35 lbs. and is 3 years old.

I bought Radian's to use in my husband's truck since it doesn't have top tethers and I don't 'think' it can be retrofitted. I've also had a FR85 in there, but it was a struggle to get it buckled in LBP. Not something I wanted to do again, ever...though the install was rock solid. The Radian also goes in really well, though VERY upright. Fortunately, it's only used as an 'emergency daycare pick up' for the most part, so they likely won't ever sleep in it.

I was hoping to put the Radian back there too, since it's so much narrower front to back compared to the FR85. Unfortunately, I need it to get a 3 across the 2nd row. Luckily this will be a very infrequent event. The FR85 installed beautifully back there (YAY!), but it's definitely lacking much leg/foot room. I think the daycare kiddo will live though since he'll only be in it to take/pick up DS from school.
