starts at 5lbs my bum! DD is almost 2m old 9lbs xx oz.

straps seemed twisty down here..it was hard to straighten them but its probably user error:whistle: i should have loosened the harness to fix

the piping digs into her little head :(

is there a way for me to send these pics to dorel? they need to change the weight ratings! im scared to know how many 5lb babies are just sitting in this w/no safety!

on a side not im really mad cuz this is the 50LX..and the listing specifically said the 65LX so i got it for 158 with shipping and mamas not happy! i thought i was getting a good deal on a 65 that i NEEDED...i cant even use the 50 cuz DD is over 50lbs and its too big for DD2 who i just bought a CCO for anyway :( so im trying to contact the amazon seller for a resolution!

The regular CA didn't fit my 90%tile for height & weight DD until she was about 4 months old. My understanding is that it is rated from 5 pounds because a 5 pounder would fit it.....assuming of course they had a freakishly long torso.

I was thinking that maybe we need to bombard manufacturers with photos of infants who don't fit their 5 lbs limit seats.

What a cute little baby!

Yeah, there is no way any noob will fit in that unless they have a GIANT torso. My 4 month old (while admittedly on the small side) still doesn't fit.

she hated it..but it was after her modeling session in the TFP haha...and that piping was RIGHT smack in the middle of her little head so she would put her face straight..i think it hurt :(

My DD has a very long torso. She fit in the Boulevard at 6 weeks (and might have sooner) and has just about outgrown the Coccoro at not-even-2. Even she is barely over the bottom position of the CA.

There's no way ANY 5-lb baby would fit in it, though that's true of many other seats, too.

OP, if you didn't get the product you expected (50 vs 65), dispute it on your credit card if the seller gives you a hard time.

i emailed the seller to see if he will work something out... i hope so! if anything i will just give this seat to my mom for her car since she only has boosters, a scenera, and an almost expired regent.

Dorel is not going to change the weight ratings. Weight ratings are the minimum and maximum tested, not a guarantee of usability. A 40# kid is not going to fit in a Graco ComfortSport, a 90# kid is not going to fit in a Recaro ProSport, and a 5# baby is not going to fit in a CompleteAir.
