Would this be unethical?

So I got my XTSL back in November, and I wasn't thrilled with the (Ventura) cover. (I think I have a thread somewhere about it?) The fabric was crooked, and it was pretty obvious since the pattern is squares. :rolleyes: But I never got around to contacting them, and just forgot about it.

But then I noticed the other day that one of the seams on the inside is starting to come undone! :mad: So now I'm going to ask for a replacement.

Would it be wrong to ask them for a different color? Like, say, Flora- since my daughter is riding in the seat now? :whistle:

I don't think that would be bad... Britax typically would ask (for replacement SEATS even... still kills me that when they replaced my original parkway back in the day, that I didn't keep the cover... they never expected you to send the seats back with covers on)
 
I have done that before with a my avenue, they replaced it when the do not remove eps foam fell off, I had abby, and I asked if I could have oakpoint, they said that was absolutly fine and put a note in the system..

I also had a marathon replaced for a broken recline thing, and they offered me my choice of covers.. (though it got very limited when the woman told me that they were sending an 07 and mine was an 09 and had a 35 rf mode, I told her I Didn't care what cover as long as I got a DOM that was similar cause we want the full life of the seat, and want to rear face to 35 not 33..) I had the toys r us one, and ended up with a cowmoo, which was super cool! lol

I asked SK for a different cover when they replaced mine, but they wouldn't do it. They will let you keep the old one, though.

You could always tell them that since you had a bad experience with this cover you want to try something different. I think its fine. You get a new cover either way. I don't think it costs them anything extra to send you a different one.

I had the Eclipse (mesh cover) With a horrible experiance. I told them I wanted something with a plush type to avoid the issue again all together. They allowed BUT said they only had bently in stock. No way were they going to allow me to get a flora...lol This happened twice.
