i love the fit of the TF on my 3.5 year old FF, but the TFP i bought for baby is too wide in the shoulders for her, and im worried it might not ever fit her RF :( so do i sell it now and buy something new like the graco smart seat, or should i hang on to it and see if it fits her when shes about 9m old when i want to put her in a convertible? now would be the only time i can get a smart seat w/the trade in event...or should i just wait until she fits in the CA? uggg

I would love to buy your TFP but I also like the SS. I am debating whether or not to buy the SS as well but I just bought 2 CA65's so I do not know. I am needing seats that have lockoffs since my belts loosen over time.

Were you using the infant padding? What do you mean by "too wide in the shoulders"? Are the straps falling off her shoulders? Can you post a pic? The TFP is so cushy, I'm having trouble understanding what you mean, but of course kids ARE all different shapes! ;) Even if she doesn't fit now, at 7 weeks? It's entirely possible she will in just a couple months.

Do you just *really* want the smart seat? Have you played with on IRL yet? Seen if the fit for your DD is better than the TFP?

The harness is pretty wide set compared too any other car seat. so with some kids who arnet very broad in the shoulders it sits too far out and slips off the shoulder when they slump over when sleeping. I had this very problem with my then 10 mo old and sol it at 14 months and even now at 22 mo it still sits pretty far out on her shoulders.

The straps came off of Laine's shoulders as a newborn with the padding in. I made sure the chest clip was high enough to keep it on, and she grew into it in about two weeks.

I love my TFP. The Smart Seat was cool. I don't know which I'd do. Since I own the TFP, though, I'm not selling it. If I was buying today my answer may be different.

if the smart seat makes a good booster than i would never have to buy her a new seat unless she needed a backless down the road..or does it do that? i didnt think it did

High back only. The belt fit looked pretty good on Piper, though she complained about her head being pushed forward.
