I thought of this one that my mom had my son make for me when he was 3- you can put the poem in the middle- the photo on top, and the (paint)handprints on the sides or bottom or however you like. Now that he's 18, it chokes me up completely to read it!

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls

But every day I'm growing --
I'll be grown some day
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away

So here's a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small

Put a date here
Love, put child's name here

Ian's class made a handprint with this saying on it for Mother's Day last year.
It was in a clear plastic magnetic picture frame with the words printed on clear sheets. The teacher said she got the clear sheets at an office supply store. The cleasr sheets overlapped the paper with his handprint.

It was probably overhead transparency sheets like you use for overhead projectors. You can get them for inkjet or laser (probably multi use too).

Great idea guys, I'm going with it!
