Opinion on Vivo DOM

I bought a vivo for DS today at Big Lots. It was $50 but the DOM is 10/07. I thought it was 09 but I was looking at the wrong sticker. I'm torn on whether to keep it or take it back. It fits him well (my almost 10 year old actually has inches left in it and I think he'd like to use it if the youngest is still too immature to use it, he said it's so comfy :) ) . But anyway, is it silly to keep a seat that is that old? Not really a bad price given that there is that little time left, and realistically I don't know how many years the youngest will get out of the seat anyway. He's average sized, 5.5 years old now. He could be too big for it anyway around when it expires. Oh, decisions. In any case it is a really nice seat. I'm glad to have been able to actually try it out. It feels so much more solid than the others we have- TB and FPSV. A huge difference in the quality!

If you will use it now and don't think you will need the extra time past when it expires I would keep it, that's a good price :)

I agree...

but if you do want a newer one, you can order one online... just you will have to pay about twice that.

Thanks.

I think we're going to keep it. No room in the budget for a seat twice that, and I just feel like it's a better built seat with more coverage than anything else I could get for that price. We did a trial run to preschool yesterday and he did great. I LOVE the deep headwings, it will be wonderful when he falls asleep. I think it will actually be more comfortable for him to sleep in than the regent- his head won't have to tip so far over. He loved riding in it and barely moved. He knows he goes back to the Regent if he doesn't behave.
