The booster doesn't have a cover on the seat....the next seat doesn't have a chest clip....the next one the straps are all twisty....and the OHS, I don't even want to go there!!! Not to mention they're all dingy/faded.

What always confuses me is why people ask $5 or $10 for the seats. It seems like if they know it is only worth $5 or $10 that they could figure out that it may just be better to go on and destroy it. Is that at all logical:confused:

I'm always amazed by what people think they can get for nasty old carseats. 15$ or more for a seat that is dirty or expired or both! I also love when people knowingly post expired seats because they just don't believe it matters, argh!

That is exactly why this woman posted hers. And she doesn't seem to take a hint when nobody is buying them! She had them listed a few weeks ago. A friend and myself both emailed her to find out expiration dates on the seat. The lady flat out old me that she doesn't care if its expired...she would still put her son in it and that she wouldn't sell something she wouldn't put her own son in. And that her oldest son rode in a carseat that was 8 years old and nothing happened to him, so expiration dates don't matter. She told my friend that she was going to sell them in a yard sale the next day. And yet, here they are on CL again! Just destroy them already!

Some people will do anything for a buck. Even by her own asking prices she only stands to loose $45 at the most by destroying them.
Quick question. Do any of the consignment shops in your areas sell used car seats. We have several here that do and I cringe when I look at the condition of some of them. Who in their right mind would buy a used car seat with NO CLUE of it's history.

The consignment shops I have been to do not sell carseats....but I have seen some places while I'm out and about on the weekends that put their baby items out in the parking lot, to attract customers, I presume, and they usually have lots of seats. I have always been on my way to something important, so I've never actually stopped to look at them.

About that black leather seat - I feel sorry for the poor kid that had to sit on that seat during the summer time!!! And in the dead of winter! And I don't know who in their right mind would pay almost $100 for a used AOE. Crazy!

And we are in Central Texas, famous for 100+ temps in the summer and 30-40 degree weather in the summer.

Yeah, they sold the black leather one at Target. I thought it was crazy then!
